De grote structuurwerken in de nieuwe mederij zijn op één ding na afgelopen. Na een hele hoop gedonder met de epoxyvloer, ligt ze er eindelijk in. Nog niet 100% hoe ik het wou, maar goed. Perfectionisme schijnt niet gezond te zijn. Het enige dat nu nog moet gebeuren is het uitbreken van de garagepoort en ze vervangen door een grote raampartij met dubbele deur. Dat is iets voor later dit jaar of begin 2021. We kunnen er alleszins in beginnen werken. Van het ogenblik dat ze door de douane geschouwd is (jahaa, dat moet ook nog) verhuist de productie van Deurne naar Schilde. Bekijk hieronder de transformatie van garage naar mederij.
Apart from one little thing the big infrastructure works in the new meadery are done. After a lot of shenanigans with the epoxy flooring I finally got it installed. Still not 100% how I would have liked it , but oh well. Perfectionism is not good for your health, medical evidence shows. The only thing left to do is to get rid of the garage door and install a large glass wall with a double door. That’s something for later this year or early 2021. At least we can finally begin making mead in there. The moment the excise people give the all clear (yup, that’s still a thing), production will move from Deurne to Schilde.
