Onze Incus (aambeeld in het Latijn) braggot weet nog niet wat hem boven het hoofd hangt. Het ene moment ligt hij lekker te chillen in zijn vat met een stevige dosis hop, het volgende moment wordt hij op fles gezet om nog een paar weken te gaan narijpen. Volgende week is het zover. Het bottelvat is al geprepareerd en hoeft enkel nog een laatste maal gedesinfecteerd te worden. Ondertussen hebben we ons bezig gehouden met het ontwerpen van het etiket. Het wijkt *erhm* een béétje af van wat jullie gewoon zijn. Op ons wapenschild na ziet het er niet erg middeleeuws uit… Laat gerust weten wat jullie er van denken in de comments.
Trouwens, die 9% vol. is niet in steen gebeiteld. Het zou goed kunnen dat het alcoholgehalte een beetje hoger uitkomt… *grijns* De laatste meting moet nog gebeuren.
Our Incus (anvil in Latin) braggot is blissfully unaware of things to come. One moment it’s just chilling out it it’s maturation vessel with a decent dose of hops, the next it’s transferred to a bottle to bottle condition for a few weeks. Next week is that time. The bottling container is all prepped and aside from a final disinfection, minutes prior to bottling, it’s ready.
In the mean time, we’ve kept ourselves busy with the design of the label. It’s *ehrm* a teensy bit different from what you’re used to. Apart from our coat of arms there isn’t really anything medieval about it… Feel free to share what you think about it in the comments.
By the way: 9% abv is not set in stone. It’s quite possible that it will be a wee bit higher… *grin* The final measurement has yet to be carried out.
